AIEN Members Meeting 2 February 2017
Date and time
Location
Weston Aluminium
809 Pacific Highway Suite 18, 11th Floor Chatswood, NSW 2067 AustraliaDescription
You are invited to an informal meeting of AIEN members in Sydney on Thursday 21st July 2016. There will be drinks and nibbles, which won't cost you a thing!
In addition to networking, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss topics and activities that might be developed by the AIEN in the future, as part of the company's charter.
Industrial ecology encompasses a broad range of ideas about how to achieve sustainable development. While the AIEN advocates the principles and concepts of industrial ecology in general, from a practical perspective, the organisation wants to focus its resources on aspects that are potentially the most useful to its members. This and other meetings like it in the foreseeable future are intended to identify what those aspects might be and set a direction in which to develop them.
Topics for discussion at the meeting will be circulated early in the new year. Atteendees may also raise ideas for discussion at the meeting.
Organised by
The Australian Industrial Ecology Network (AIEN) is a vibrant network of like-minded individuals, companies and institutions with a common interest in sustainable development through the study and practice of industrial ecology.
We advocate the principles and concepts of industrial ecology in policy formation and business practice. The AIEN actively engages with organisations to facilitate improved performance and environmental benefits.
The AIEN is also a forum in which people can discuss ideas, seek advice from one another or simply keep in touch through the network with developments and best practice in their particular areas of interest.
